CAUTION: Worldly Minds At Work

As I said in my previous post, I won't be responding to the hate-fest at the Crowhill discussion board, this particular item stood out like a sore thumb. Philvaz, a "surfer-dude" type who takes his theology from amateur roman catholic apologetic websites that purport to be able to speak on matters of the Greek text even though they concede they don't know Greek, had this to say:
And one thing I've wondered, why does Svendsen's board have only 300+ members when Catholic Answers boards have 25,000 if his brand of evangelicalism is so true? He needs better P.R. or something.

Let's see; a man named Theudas had previously rallied 400 disciples to himself (Acts 5:36). At the end of his ministry, Jesus had gathered only about 120 disciples to himself (Acts 1:15). Here's Phivaz's "logic": If Jesus' brand of Judaism were so true, he would certainly have attracted more disciples after three years than a man whose work came to nothing. Therefore, Jesus' brand of Judaism must not be true.
